Classic cool

Classic cool for me means; a crisp white button down, leather pants and sneakers. I could wear this combination all the time. With Spring finally on its way I love all the lighter clothing choices I have. So, on my recent visit to the Baltimore Harbor I decided to be classic and cool. I've been looking for the perfect white button down and was so surprised to see how expensive they are. I ran into Old Navy the other day and snagged this perfect one for a steal! I pulled out my favorite leather leggings and laced up my new kicks. I have super narrow feet so I'm always beyond excited to find a pair of sneakers that fit me nice and snug(no more loosey goosey);) I had a great time at the harbor with my sisters and look forward to more of Spring!

Black on Black on Black

I think we can all agree; there is no better color combination than black on black on black. It's chic, edgy, elegant and slimming ALL at the same time! Perfect, right? Today was sunny but still freezing cold, so I piled on this monochromatic look with different textures. I started with these drool-worthy fringed out leather boots. I mean I literally check on them at night, I love them so much!:)This double breasted belled sleeve coat topped off everything nicely. I'm in love with the little sweet ruffle on the sleeves too. With so much beautiful detail between the sleeves and boots, I went with simple leather-like leggings. This color combo is so easy and works no matter what you're doing.

Snow White&Nudes

This arctic weather has me surrounded by snow. Everywhere I turn there's mountains of it! So, I decided to get out of my black and fleece lined everything, and into White. Why not, right?(if you can't beat em, join em) Very rarely do I wear white and/or neutral colors in a monochromatic way. So I figured I'd be Snow White for the day(with a twist of course). I started with this fun fringed top that I just LOVE! Every time I pick it up it makes me smile, want to twirl, and make sharp movements so the fringe can shake. My super soft blazer and white jeans pulled this Snow White&Nude look together for me. Its fun to try something new and be inspired by your surroundings. Sorry for the not so bright pictures. The sun reflects like crazy off the snow, making for a dark tint. But, I kind of like it;)

Feathers and Bows

This weekend I had the privilege of attending my beautiful friends wedding. She's very non-traditional and fun, so I decided to dress with that in mind. Since it was a winter wedding I felt feathers and red shoes would be perfect! I wanted to feel warm and cozy. I've had this Elizabeth and James feather blazer for a few years now and I never wear it! I'm not sure why because I'm in love with this piece. It's so funny how we have amazing clothes sitting around, just waiting to be chosen. I loved pairing it with my favorite red bow pumps, they are the epitome of "fun". The wedding was definitely fun, and my outfit was exactly what I wished it to be;)

freckled leopard

I haven't done a flawsome post in quite a while now and I figured it was time. The other day I was looking through my closet and the amount of leopard I have is crazy! In fact, I just bought a pair of leopard sneakers, and trust me, I "needed" them. So, I got to thinking, why do I love this fabulous print so much? As far back as I can remember leopards/panthers/jaguars have been my favorite. I would dream of holding them and brushing their hair. Even as a kid I loved their obvious but also quiet strength. They're not easily intimidated. When I learned that Panthers WERE leopards with a lot of melanin, I loved these creatures even more! I guess technically panthers are flawed. Now I know that I saw myself in them. Even at such a young age I felt we were similar. Not just because of their spots(my freckles), but also because of their shyness. They like their privacy and are solitary beings, not unlike myself. I also like to think that we're both very introverted. So, no wonder I'm obsessed with this lovely pattern. Its funny how we're drawn to things and we don't know why, but, there's always a deeper meaning. Always. I know it might sound silly, but I feel strong when I wear leopard. They're master camouflagers, but fierce when they need to be. So, leopard is neutral AND loud all at once! No other pattern can do that. I could write pages on my love for leopard and our similarities, but I'll stop here. I hope you like my crazy leopard lady look below, I felt flawsome! It was so fun to wear it from head to toe;)

A Lil plaid skirt

Wearing short skirts is really not my thing. However, looking through my closet I have accumulated quite a few this year, so I must like them. I've been pairing them with leggings, and for me, it makes all the difference! I'm much more comfortable with my legs covered up. I love this wool plaid pleated skirt I got from Piperlime. It's full, poofy and fun to walk in. I really love taking something dressy(like a skirt) and wearing something casual(flat boots) to give it a different vibe. So, these burnout leggings and OTK boots were perfect for this look. If you're like me, and you don't want your legs out for the world to see, try leggings under a mini:)
