Frye boots & Cold shoulders
I had been wanting a pair of Frye boots for years now. Every time I go to a store that carries them I try them on and walk around. Each time the same reaction, total disbelief and excitement as to how AMAZING they fit. I mean, like a glove! I even do a little dance in the mirror(when no ones looking) So, I saved and finally found my dream pair, black leather with studs of course. It's like Frye made these Billy hammered boots specifically for me! Like the designer knew me and wanted me to pass out from sheer happiness when I saw them. Don't you love when that happens? I actually display these in my room like a piece of art(does anyone else do that?:)) I decided black jeans and my cold shoulder French Connection top would be perfect for my Billy's today. Spring is here so I feel like I should be dressing in pastels and pretty dresses. While I like those things, I also love to bring out my boots and light sweaters. Leather and neutrals are my favorite, no matter what the season. Plus, New York State in spring can be tricky. So, all in all, this is a perfect spring look for me;)

Lazy Leopard Sunday
"A Sunday well spent brings a week of content". I truly believe that. Sunday is a day to relax, recharge, and get stuff done while doing nothing at all. This Sunday while I was doing a million things and being lazy, I decided to go for a walk around the park. I always keep a pair of kicks in my car for moments like this. My outfit was very sporadic and comfortable, not something I would normally go out of the house in. So, on days like these, I throw on my trusty leopard print jacket from Old Navy and it makes everything all better. Leopard to me says: I'm elegant, fun, organized and totally going somewhere special!(even when your not;)) I also wore my leopard print socks from Banana Republic to "fun up" my otherwise boring attire. They didn't really "go" with my kicks, but I thought they were perfect for how I felt. Also, I LOVE scarves, and pretty much every day of my life I have one on. This black fringed cutie from Zara was the perfect choice for this beautiful windy day. My outfit said exactly what I wanted it to say: It's Sunday and I just threw this on, and yes, I am relaxed, sophisticated and fun all at the same time;) Yup!

Overall Love
I have wanted to jump on the overall bandwagon for about a year now, but they all seemed too overall-y for me(You know what I mean?). Until one day I saw these at Urban Outfitters. I fell in love! First off, I love the dark color, I think it makes them a bit dressier. The straight leg fit is amazing and also comfortable, but, my favorite part of these is the back. The way the straps start at the waist and is open for your shirt to show is so cool to me. It also makes them a bit more mature and less teeny bopper. I also decided to wear a buton down blouse with adorable hearts on it to further prove I'm a lady:) While I'm being a lady for the day, what better than pink pointy toe pumps? The perfect pop of color and chic-ness. I highly recommend these perfect overalls. Go get em!

Flawsome for March
Now I don't know about you, but I buy things and save them for a "special" day. As usual, that "special" day never really comes. It reminds me of this quote: "I have a irrational fear of wasting a good outfit on an insignificant day". So as I was writing this fashion post, I decided to turn it into a Flaw post. I started thinking of all the clothes and things I have just sitting in my closet. Waiting. Waiting for me to have a significant day. I realize at this point in my life that special days just don't fall into our laps. We have to make our day special. Which made me think of another quote "it's a good day to have a good day". So I figured, today is the perfect day to wear my BCBG leathers! I've had these for at least a year. There's been times where I put them on and took them off because I thought: "today isn't good enough". How sad is that? Now, I'm determined to go through my closet and wear things that I've been wanting and waiting to wear;) (you should too!) As I sit here eating the most perfect chocolate chip cookie, working on my blog, with Poirot (one of my fave masterpiece classics) playing on the tv, I think to myself, today was a great day! Especially since I wore my cute pants and my cute top on a day that I deemed special. I call that Flawsome!

Burger and Fringe!
Last week I went to one of my favorite restaurants: The Cheesecake Factory. There I had THE best veggie burger and fries. That meal inspired today's look. Get it? Burger and Fringe(fries), eh? I'm so proud of myself for that!;) (Any and everything inspires me, especially food). I had been waiting for the perfect excuse to order this sweatshirt from sincerelyjules. (Shes one of my favorite bloggers). So when I got this lovely package at my door I could hardly contain myself. I decided to wear it over some classic skinnies. Today was brutally cold, but since it wasn't snowing I gave my furry boots a break and wore my favorite fringe booties instead. I then pulled my hair up(sans my hood/hat),wore some huge hoops and enjoyed walking around with this yummy blue burger on my chest. I'm excited to have this comfy sweater and I can't wait to order more;)

Freckle feature:February
I'm beyond excited to have my high school friend Jessica as my freckle feature for February. Personally, I loved her freckled face when I first saw it. I remember noticing her gorgeous freckles as a freshman, but being too shy to tell her how much I liked them. Jessica is one of five girls and the only one with freckles and red hair. So you can imagine her being the youngest and the most different looking, she thought something was wrong with her. She has a cousin with freckles and they would talk about when they got older they were going to get laser surgery to remove them. She is so happy to have outgrown that idea! Jessica's now husband was instantly attracted to her freckles and made her look at them completely different than she ever did before. He actually describes them in his book as, "this red headed, freckle face, was a beauty. Her freckles, which I so love, meant one thing, she didn't have to wear a drop of makeup to look beautiful..." And right he is! She throws on bronzer to give the "mirage" of a tan, but other than that, she lets her freckles shine makeup free. I love her constellation and so want to play connect the dots with them;) (she actually has a family friend who's final wishes was to do just that!) Thankfully he's still around, so maybe him and I can do it together! Aren't her freckles Flawsome?

Camel & Houndstooth
Today was a sweater and jeans type of day. It's cold, snowy and sunny all at the same time. Weird I know, but that's called...WINTER in NYS! So since the sun was shining, I decided to wear something other than my usual black. I thought camel and blue jeans would suffice. Now I don't know about you, but I LOVE a twofer (when something has two purposes). This Michael Kors sweater is just that! It has a detachable cozy fur neck warmer. Perfect for these type of days. You can take it off when the suns' shining and put it back on when the clouds roll in. The gold button on the back is adorable AND functional(it keeps the fur in place). I finished the look with some houndstooth jeans from Hudson and open toe heels(of course I had to put boots on to get to my car). Fuschia lips and some fun jewelry to top it off. Simple and chic!
