I love a good checker print. It's classic and always in style. Here's another adorable dress I've had hanging in my closet for some time now. Of course I've been saving it for something special(I don't know what exactly). I thought, how can I make this crazy weather, and, this bad hair day special? My black and white checker dress was the answer. Dresses are the best, because one and done! I love to style mine with booties, making a pretty dress instantly cooler. This timeless checker print is perfect for any season. I know it's going to be big for the fall:) My favorite season!

Knot me!
Today I was feeling red. So I decided to layer up with this lovely color and a old school knot. My red summer t-shirt dress, and a statement T knotted just so! As summer nears its end, the days have been a bit chilly so I switched out my sandals for boots. I've had these items in my closet for a while now, but never put them together like this. I love when that happens! I had them folded on my shelf together and realized they were the same exact color! So, this is what I came up with. I will be wearing this T knotted like this forever now. Partly because its wrinkled where I twisted it up (and I NEVER iron), but, mainly because its cute and easy:)

My summer favorites
I wanted to share my skincare must haves for the summer. For me, it's all about moisturizing and keeping my t-zone in a happy place. Then, light melt free makeup. With all the summer rain and humidity this isn't so easy. However, I have found the perfect products.
After taking care of my face, I massage THE most amazing body butter on. This stuff is so hydrating and leaves my skin baby butt soft! My scent of choice is the vanilla/apricot. Run don't walk to get this stuff! Your skin will thank you.
Once all my moisturizing is done, I put on very minimal makeup. Just the necessities. A good blemish balm, mascara, cheek tint and lip color. These are my fantastic 5! Now I'm ready for an amazing day.
Arbonne(id#12594873), Kiehl's, Josie Maran, Bobbi Brown, Dr.Schrammek blemish balm, Tarte, silver hoops always;)
1. An amazing and gentle cleanser, called Calm. It even removes makeup. 2. THE BESTEST toner ever ever ever! Its pH correcting, so it brings our skin back to where it's happy:) I use it morning and night(this stuff is a life saver) and its in a spray bottle making application so easy. 3. Oil absorbing FC5 for my t-zone, and the gentle moisturizer for my cheeks and chin. 4. At night I use Khiels skin refresher with the calm moisturizer (since I don't need SPF at night).

Lace shorts
Lace and I have a love hate relationship. I love it on others, and HATE it on myself! Hence, why most of my adult life I've been in search of something lace that works for my body type. Tops and dresses just do NOT work on me in lace, so, I thought I'd give something on my lower half a try. These Gold Hawk shorts won me over, and they fit like a glove. I love that they're mid-rise, and the nude color is gorgeous on any skin tone. Above all, they're super comfortable. The possibilities with these are endless. Girly, preppy, edgy, dressy, etc. For the first time wearing them I kept it simple. Black tank, black sandals, and a bun. I encourage you to try a pair ASAP! I'm loving not being afraid to wear shorts;) These are going in my very small(but growing) pile.

Duster at the Terminal
I'm a sucker for a good duster. Short or long. I wear mine all year long, no matter what the season. They're very Art Deco/bohemian/kimono-esque, which in my opinion, is awesome! Nothing else has this much versatility. You can throw it over leggings, shorts, a skirt, or a simple tank dress(like I did here), and have a completely different but amazing look. This black and cream one from Free People that I found on sale at Nordstrom Rack is beautiful! Don't you love the slits in the back? Thats the best part to me. Going to the old terminal and taking pictures was so much fun. I love anything that makes me feel like I stepped into an Ingrid Burgman or Katherine Hepburn film. So, this duster AND this location was a perfect combo. You should definitely try one.

Concert outfit
One of the best things about summer is all the great concerts to go to. When I found out I was going to Beyonce and Jay-Z's On the Run tour I immediately started thinking of what to wear (and also stretching in preparation for some amazing dance moves). It had to be something cute and comfortable. I'm not ashamed to say, when the lights went out and the music started, I pretty much BECAME Beyonce. Only In my head of course, and, only because no one was looking at me:) So, knowing I was going to sweat like crazy, I wore pieces that would help me keep cool. My black "leather" peplum top with cotton in the back, and my distressed boyfriend shorts was the perfect combination. If you know me, than you know that there was a time when I would've NEVER worn shorts. Let alone shorts AND a sleeveless top?! So this was major for me for several reasons. Concerts are meant to be fun and freeing to a certain extent. So I advise, if you have a feature you don't love, let it out. Whether its your arms, legs, hair, or whatever! A concert is a perfect place to test out that sleeveless tank or shorts you've been dying to wear. The lights are always super low, and everyones looking at the artist on stage(so that helps). Give it a shot, and then I'd love to hear from you in the comments below:) Keep dancing!

Wonder Woman
Who doesn't love Wonder Woman? Everything she stands for is amazing, and, her outfit was perfection! (I loved her cuffs the most) I can't tell you how fast I snatched this top off the hanger when I saw it. I la la LOVE it! When you scroll down and see the pics, you will understand why no further explanation is really necessary. Other than, Chaser got it right!(as usual). I wore my high waisted grey skirt and my very comfortable strappy sandals with it. This combination really makes me feel like Wonder Woman. Maybe it's because both pieces are grey (And I love grey, it makes me feel good) or, maybe it's because this is the coolest skirt ever! Or, maybe it's because I have Wonder Woman on my chest! Whatever the reason, it's a darn good outfit. I threw on my black/gold chain link set to feel more wonder-ful(corny I know). I've had it for almost a year, and this outfit was calling for a strong piece to accompany it. The whole combination was fun to wear. I hope you like it as much as I do.
